Join the campaign for discovering women leaders
Seventy years after Independence, the representation of women in the Lok Sabha is just 12 per cent. In state assemblies, it is even lower. Streekaal has been campaigning for quick passage of the Bill providing for reservations for women in Parliament and state assemblies and has been pressing for it from different platforms.
We invite the readers of Streekaal to join this campaign. Let us identify women leaders. Write to us (in around 1000 words) about women around you who are working for social, cultural or political change. Also about women who are campaigning on various issues. Women in leadership roles in any field can be the subject-matter of your articles. Talk to them and bring their thoughts to the fore.
